Homemade ginger garlic paste | ginger garlic paste recipe with step wise pictorial and video method is the need of every kitchen.
Ginger and garlic are two such herbs which are commonly used, especially in Asian cookery, for seasoning. Their fragrant aroma takes the dish to another level.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Ginger garlic paste is a simple process asking for simple ingredients. The task of making ginger garlic paste at home is easy as well as difficult both.
It is easy in the terms that you have to do nothing much to make it & all the responsibility lies on blender jar.
And difficult because peeling is very irritating job, especially when it comes to garlic pods.
As this paste is must in our maximum cooking & if you want to make your own fresh and preservatives free, little irritation is worth bearing. Further one time irritation in a month is better than everyday’s when more than cooking itself, these side tasks take more of your time in kitchen.
Peeling garlic is not just irritating but time consuming too. Although there are certain methods available on internet which shows that how to peel garlic easily but unfortunately they never worked for us.
At the end we always resort to old regular method of peeling each garlic pod one by one. However you can save your time by peeling garlic only when you are doing such work with which garlic can be peeled simultaneously, like while watching TV.
QUANTITY OF GINGER AND GARLIC
It is to be noted that the quantity of ginger & garlic mentioned in the ingredients list as 100 GRAMS each is of the UNPEELED one. You need not to worry about the quantity of peeled ginger garlic as they will be automatically in right proportion.
As it is difficult to explain the quantity of ginger and garlic in terms of cup, hereunder sharing the picture of ginger and garlic which is 100 grams each. Though even picture cannot give you 100 percent correct estimation, yet it will be helpful to a greater extent.
You are at ease if you are having a weighing machine at home or going to buy ginger and garlic after reading this recipe. You can purchase only exact quantity of both & proceed with the recipe.
Further, make sure the ginger and garlic you are using must be fresh or at least not having the rotten signs. You must avoid even a slightly uneven ginger root & garlic pod.
Also keep in mind that you must use oil which is having a unflavoured & neutral taste. We have added refined soyabean oil.
This is very important to maintain cleanliness while you are making this paste. Right from your hands to blender jar to spoon to kitchen towel to storing jar, all must be clean and dry. A casual approach can ruin your entire paste & as such your money and time too.
