Matar Paneer Bhurji Recipe with step wise pictorial and video method.
Scrambled panner cooked with fresh green peas, onion and minimal of the spices makes this yummy dish called matar paneer bhurji.
This recipe is quite different from regular matar paneer in a way that this is the dry form of matar paneer.
This is such a quick recipe that you can make it a part of your or kids tiffin. Yes, it is important to mention here that cooking green peas do take time, so if you are planing to make this dish part of morning, then either use frozen peas or boil the peas a night before. Isn’t that convenient?
Earlier we have shared the recipe of paneer bhurji and the cooking process of that recipe was almost similar, except few things.
So whenever you want to make something quick and easy to prepare, go for this.
This dish can be paired with roti, paratha, bread, or even used as a sandwich filling or wrap.
STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF MATAR PANEER BHURJI RECIPE:
Heat oil and add cumin seeds in a pan. Let cumin splutter. Add onion, tomatoes, green chilies and ginger garlic paste. Also add all the spices i.e. coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well. Put a lid and let tomatoes cook. Do mash the tomatoes in between while stirring occasionally. Soon tomatoes will turn mushy and soft and oil will be seen separating. It’s a sign that tomatoes are properly cooked.
Add green peas and roast them for 2 minutes while stirring continuously. Add water and mix. Put a lid and let peas cook until they turn soft enough to eat. Then add crumbled paneer and garam masala. Mix so well and cook for a minute or two. Matar paneer bhurji is ready.

Ingredients
- 1 cup green peas
- 200 grams paneer (mashed)
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 big onion (chopped lengthwise)
- 2 green chilies
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1+1/2 cup water
Instructions
