Matar paneer bhurji recipe is a quick, spicy North Indian dish made with crumbled paneer, green peas, and aromatic spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams green peas
  • 250 grams paneer (mashed)
  • 1 big onion (chopped lengthwise)
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions
 

  • Boil green peas for 25 to 30 minutes. If using frozen peas, just thaw them. In any case, peas should turn soft enough to eat.
  • Drain and leave aside the peas.
  • Heat oil and add cumin seeds in a pan. Let cumin splutter.
  • Add onion and green chilies.
  • Also add all the spices i.e. coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
  • Add green peas and roast them for 3-4 minutes while stirring continuously.
  • Then add crumbled paneer.
  • Mix so well and cook for a minute or two.
  • Matar paneer bhurji is ready. Enjoy.
