These dairy-free and delicious bars are a plant based version of the Classic Bounty Bars. The traditional bars use dairy and even different people make it differently. Some use just milk and sugar whereas others go for condensed milk as well.
We have tried to keep it simple and easy by using coconut milk, coconut oil and sugar.
Also, either you can go for desiccated coconut or freshly grated coconut to make it, although, in majority, it is the first one which is widely used.
It is to be noted that use of milk instead of condensed milk made it very economical recipe.
It is something you can try any time any day or any special occasions like valentine or Christmas.
Such recipes are enough to bring a smile on the face of kids and if you wrap these bounty bars in some beautiful wrappers, they become priceless gifts for little ones.
Although we have shaped the coconut mixture into bars but you can keep them round making it chocolate bounty balls.
Here’s are few of the tips and tricks to make these bars perfectly:
1. The milk ultimately has to be absorbed. So if you add extra milk accidentally, do not worry. It shouldn’t have only be under needed.
2. Coconut oil is added to give intense and deep flavours of coconut. However you can skip it.
3. Coconut the coconut mixture until it becomes a mass but moist. Over cooking may turn the mixture dry and less cooking may keep it so much moist, hence difficult to bind in bars.
4. Do keep the bars in refrigerator to turn firm. If you skip this step the bars will breakdown while coating in chocolate.
5. At the time of coating, the chocolate should be luke warm but not very hot, otherwise the bars will break due to the excessive heat.
6. Also refrigerator the coated bars for 30 minutes so that chocolate gets firm.
