Roasted chickpeas in Air Fryer

STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF ROASTED CHICKPEAS IN AIR FRYER

 

1. Soak white Chickpeas in water overnight. The quantity of all the ingredients in given in the recipe card at the end of the post.

2. Drain the water & wash the Chickpeas.

3. Transfer Chickpeas in pressure cooker. If you don’t have pressure cooker, use any method you generally use to boil Chickpeas.

4. Add water and salt.

5. Put a lid and pressure cook for 5-6 whistles or until Chickpeas turn soft enough to eat.

6. Once the pressure releases, open the lid.
7. Take the boiled Chickpeas out of water and add in a bowl.

8. Then add salt, oil, red chilli powder, garlic powder, cumin powder and dry mango powder.

9. Give them a good mix.

10. Layer the Chickpeas in greased air fryer basket.

11. Air fry @190°C for 12-15 minutes or until brown and crisp.

Cool completely before storing. Enjoy.

NOTES

  1. You need not to go through the soaking and boiling of Chickpeas if you have the Chickpea cans.
  2. This raw 1 cup of Chickpeas is equal to 2 cans/30oz of Chickpeas.

  • 1 cup Chickpeas
  • Water as required

FOR BOILING CHICKPEAS

  • Soaked chickpeas
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 5-6 cup water

FOR ROASTING CHICKPEAS

  • Boiled Chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp dry mango powder
