Roasted poha namkeen recipe | poha namkeen mixture | poha & peanut namkeen mixture recipe is usually prepared in our house after the festival of lohri because poha & peanuts are being purchased in bulk during this festival and they are always in the leftover.

Poha is used in south India across the year but this is not so in northern part of the country so we prepare it only when poha is in the leftover.

Had made this recipe of poha namkeen mixture in the January month of this year but forgot to upload and recently found the videos & pictures in our computer, so decided to post now because better late than never..lol.

Poha & peanut namkeen mixture recipe is so handy which can be cherished any time like while studying or watching TV or traveling or gossiping or as and when you like. Make in bulk, keep in airtight container & enjoy.

 

 

Roasted poha namkeen recipe

Stepwise pictorial recipe of Roasted poha namkeen

1.Dry roast 4 cup poha in a heavy bottom pan until slightly changes its colour.

2. Take it out in a bowl.

3. Likewise dry roast 1 cup peanuts and 3 tbsp dry coconut.

4. Keep in the same bowl carrying poha.

5. Pour oil in a pan and add green chilies, curry leaves, salt and turmeric powder. Saute for couple of seconds.

6. Add raisins and sugar and saute for few seconds until raisins begin to puff up.

7. Add already roasted poha mixture.

8. Give them a good mix.

9. Roasted Poha namkeen is ready. Enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee when turns completely cool.

NOTES

  1. You can add any other dry fry too of your choice.
  2. You need to store it in airtight container otherwise poha may turn soggy.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cup poha (flattened rice)
  • 1 cup Peanuts (raw)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 Green chillies (chopped)
  • 3 tbsp Raisins
  • 3 tbsp Dry coconut
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 10-12 Curry leaves
  • 2 tsp Sugar
