Paneer bhurji without tomato with step wise pictorial and video method.
Paneer Bhurji is a very common dish from North India made with crumbled paneer, onion and tomatoes.
But honestly speaking, we never liked the taste of that paneer bhurji.
The reason is that we don’t like the taste of tomatoes in paneer bhurji. Our mother/mother -in-law used to cook paneer bhurji without tomatoes, red chilli powder and coriander leaves and that simple recipe of paneer bhurji was always a hit in our family.
Even when some relative guests used to visit us they eat this kind of paneer bhurji, they liked it so much that they started cooking it in their kitchen by adopting this style.
This is such a simple recipe which requires very few and regular ingredients and gets ready under 10 minutes.
We usually cook this recipe when there’s nothing to cook at home or not in a mood to cook at length. But it doesn’t mean that this recipe is just a compromise but by saying that, we mean this is such a quick and immediate recipe.
In the present recipe, the moisture content is provided by milk instead of tomatoes and that makes this recipe more delicious more rich.
And if you are thinking that we accidentally missed the red chilli powder, an essential ingredient in every indian food, then you are mistaken. We never add red chilli powder but only green chilies play their part and it gives paneer bhurji a unique taste and colour.
TIPS TO MAKE PERFECT PANEER BHURJI NO TOMATO:
1. Always try to use fresh paneer.
2. Use lots of onion. This recipe tastes best with onion.
3. Do not overcook onion. A combination of crunchy onion and soft paneer is mesmerizing.
4. Do add milk to provide softness to the bhurji although you want the sabji totally dry. In such a case, get all the milk evaporated but do add.
5. Keep the spices very limited.
