Step wise pictorial recipe of No-Bake Chickpea Brownie Recipe | Flourless & Refined Sugar-Free Vegan Brownie Recipe | Gluten free brownie recipe
Take soft dates and remove their seeds.
Add the dates to a grinder jar.
Make a smooth paste.
Now add chickpeas in the grinder jar alongwith coffee powder after mixing it in warm water.
Grind into a smooth paste.
Note : here we faced the major difficulty. Chickpeas weren’t turning into paste in normal grinder mixer inspite of repeated attempts. If you have high power food processor, probably that will work.
As the grinder wasn’t giving requisite results, we shifted the mixture from grinder to a plate.
Mashed it so well using potato masher.
A smooth paste is ready.
Add cocoa powder and vanilla essence.
Give it a good mix so that a homogeneous paste gets ready.
Place this paste in a cake tin lined with greased butter paper.
Spread the paste and level it using spatula.
Then pour the melted chocolate.
Spread the chocolate all over the brownie base.
Top some nuts of your choice. We have used walnuts, watermelon seeds and pumpkin seeds.
Place the tin in refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
Invert and cut into slices of desired size.
No Bake Chickpeas brownie is ready. Enjoy.
NOTES
- We have used white chickpeas after boiling. You can also use canned chickpeas. Even some videos showing boiled black chickpeas as well. But the majority is of roasted chickpeas after removing their skin.
- If the dates are hard, soak them in warm water for 10-15 minutes.
- You can use any chocolate of your choice and melt the chocolate using double boiler method or in microwave.
- If you don’t have high speed food processor then better to grind the ingredients in small quantity and one after another. Means, paste the dates, take them out of grinder jar and then add chickpeas and paste them. Adding all ingredients in basic grinder will not work.
