This vegetarian tofu rice paper snack recipe is light, crunchy and surprisingly easy. And what to say of the taste, you yourself just imagine biting into a golden, crackly rice paper shell that reveals flavorful tofu inside.
And not just vegan, but the use of rice paper in crispy tofu rice paper parcels in air fryer, makes it gluten free as well.
These crispy tofu rice paper parcels are perfect to serve as an evening tea-time snack, party appetizer, weekend brunch or a potluck dish. It can be made part of special occasions like Christmas as well.
We have made a very special dip to enjoy these rice paper tofu wraps but feel free to serve them with Sweet chili sauce, Mint chutney or Soy dipping sauce which we have already paired with cabbage rolls and rice paper dumplings earlier.

MAKING OF PARCELS
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and green chilies. Saute for a while until GG paste turns slightly brown. Add onion and cook till turns translucent.
Add capsicum, carrot, green peas, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt. Give them a nice mix. Put a lid and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
Lastly add scrambled tofu, spring onion greens and coriander leaves. Give them a good mix and keep aside to cool down completely.
Now take some water in a plate or tray. Dip a rice paper for 8-10 seconds so that it turns slightly soft. Place some tofu stuffing in the middle. Wrap it up.
Now take one more rice paper, wet it likewise and wrap up the first parcel in it. In simple terms, double wrap the stuffing for extra crispiness. Sprinkle white sesame seeds on the top. Make more parcels likewise until all the stuffing is finished.
Put the parcels in greased air fryer basket. You can bake them in oven or pan fry in little oil. Brush oil on them. Air fry @180°C for 8 minutes on one side. Open the air fryer, turn their sides. Apply oil. Air fry further for 8 minutes on similar temperature. Tofu parcels are ready.
MAKING OF DIP
Take roasted peanuts in a grinder jar alongwith lukewarm water. Grind so well and take out in a bowl. Mix in white vinegar, sugar, red chilli flakes and soy sauce.
Enjoy with parcels.
NOTES
- You can add any of the vegetables of your choice.
- If you are vegetarian, you can replace tofu with paneer.

Air Fried Tofu Rice Paper Parcels | Crispy Tofu Rice Paper Parcels in Air Fryer
Ingredients
1 cup = 250 ml
FOR PARCELS
- 250 gram Tofu (crumbled)
- 1 big onion (chopped)
- 1/4 cup carrots (chopped)
- 1/4 cup peas
- 1/4 cup capsicum (chopped)
- 1/4 cup spring onion
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 green chilies
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp oil
- Rice papers as required
- White sesame seeds as required
FOR DIP
- 3 tbsp roasted peanuts
- 2 tbsp warm water
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (gluten free)
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
Instructions

- Dip a rice paper for 8-10 seconds so that it turns slightly soft.
- Place some tofu stuffing in the middle.
- Wrap it up.
- Now take one more rice paper, wet it likewise and wrap up the first parcel in it. In simple terms, double wrap the stuffing for extra crispiness.
- Sprinkle white sesame seeds on the top.
- Make more parcels likewise until all the stuffing is finished.
