Vegan Air fryer brownies with step wise pictorial and video method.
Chocolate brownie…
that too vegan…
that too in air fryer…
that too with just 2 tablespoons of oil,
voila…. what else left to achieve in life. Lol.
Here’s a simple recipe of vegan chocolate brownie made in air fryer using very basic and economic ingredients from the pantry.
We have already shared two recipes of chocolate brownie but with a difference.
The first one was vegetarian Brownie, obviously with dairy products.
And the second one was Gluten free vegan brownie made using flours made of Millet grains.
This was not an easy task for us to reach to the desired results and only after 2 trials, we managed to have these perfectly air fried brownies.
The first recipe was loaded with so much of oil and on eating, it was feeling like having oil brownies instead of chocolate brownies… hence denied in toto.
The second recipe was with a difference and very much similar to the present recipe, except we added baking powder in that.
Though the out outcome was very fantastic but it was more like a cake and less a brownie.
And here lies the basic difference between cake and brownie that cake is fluffy whereas brownie tends to be gooey.
Lastly we tried the third way and omitted baking powder and we came up with a perfect vegan chocolate brownie in air fryer that too in less than 20 minutes.
INGREDIENTS USED
FLOUR : To keep the brownies healthy, we have used whole wheat flour. Instead you can use all purpose flour also. Our regular readers are well aware that we always prefer to go for whole wheat flour over refined flour for being healthy.
But whatever flour you are using, make sure to sift it so that there remains no clumps.
SUGAR: We have used brown sugar. Feel free to use white sugar if you like.
COCOA POWDER: Like flour, also sift the cocoa to avoid clumps.
For more dense chocolatey flavour, use dark cocoa powder.
SALT : A pinch of salt helps in bringing out the chocolate flavor and sweetness.
OIL : Any neutral flavored oil.
MILK : We have used oats milk but feel free to use any of your favorite milk, be it almond, soy, coconut.
And you necessarily need not to rush to market to buy the oats milk. If having oats at home, that’s fine.
Just blend 3 tablespoons of oats with 12 tablespoons (3/4 of water) and then sieve out to have half cup of milk.
However you will be amazed to know that even water works fine into the recipe. Just replace oats milk with water in the same quantity.
VANILLA ESSENCE: When it comes to brownie, vanilla is must.
WALNUTS: Personally we feel that brownie is incomplete without walnuts. Though chocolate chips are also suggested to be added but nothing like walnuts.
STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF VEGAN AIR FRYER BROWNIES
1.Add milk and sugar in a bowl. Whisk together well.
2. Add oil and whisk again.
3. Put a sieve on the bowl and add flour, cocoa powder and salt.
4. Sift the ingredients into the bowl.
5. Add vanilla essence and walnuts.
6. Mix everything so well.
7. Transfer the batter in 6 inches baking tin lined with greased butter paper.
8. Place the tin in air fryer basket.
9. Air fry @160°C for 15 minutes.
10. Check the doneness by inserting a toothpick and if it comes out clean, brownie is perfectly baked.
11. Let it cool down completely before inverting.
Enjoy.
NOTES
- Do not skip to line the baking tin with butter paper. Also the edges of butter paper should be above the edges so that you can conveniently lift the brownie out.
- Alternatively you can bake the brownie in pre-heated oven @180°C for the same time.
- Very easily you can double the quantity but the tin size should be big and probably baking time too.
- If you like slightly fluffy and cakey brownies, then add 1/2 baking powder while shifting flour.
