Coconut milk pulao recipe | coconut milk rice recipe with step wise pictorial and video method.
Dairy free, gluten free, vegan and one pot meal, this recipe is here to steal your heart with its scrummy taste.
It also goes well even without any accompaniment or just with some raita or plain yoghurt, though you can cherish this pulao with some gravy based curry too.
We have kept this pulao very simple and basic which can be made with no fuss and instantly. Hence you will not find any veggies in it, which otherwise you can add at your well.
Recently we made coconut milk at home and this was the first recipe to try with the said milk. And honestly speaking, this pulao was magnificent.
The flavour, taste and aroma of coconut embedded in the rice took it to another level.
INGREDIENTS USED
RICE : You can use any rice to make this pulao, which you are regularly using in your cooking. However basmati rice tastes the best.
COCONUT MILK : coconut milk is the prime ingredient of this recipe. We have used homemade coconut milk, however you can used canned milk too. If the milk you are using is thick, add a little water.
OTHER SPICES : Rest of the spices are regular masalas used in cooking. Their job is to enhance the taste of food. In case you don’t have each and every spice, don’t worry. Use the regular one you usually add to your food.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COCONUT MILK RICE AND COCONUT RICE
The main difference between the both is the presence of coconut in rice.
In coconut milk rice, the coconut is present in the form of milk only replacing water whereas in coconut rice, actual coconut in grated form is present.
