Air Fryer Oats Manchurian Recipe | Healthy Oats Manchurian Recipe in Air Fryer with step wise pictorial and video method.
This Indo-Chinese delicacy is being loved across the world and traditionally made with vegetables and all purpose flour.
But here we are presenting the healthy Manchurian alternative with oats and not just without all purpose flour but these are oats Manchurian without deep frying as well. It is so because this low oil evening snack with oats is made in the Air Fryer.
Using oats instead of maida is a smart, fiber-rich choice which makes this snack recipe so healthy. And if someone dislikes oats, he too can enjoy this recipe for the reason that he will not be able to identify that it has oats in it.
What to say of the recipe as a whole but only the crispy oats vegetable balls are so delicious that you can eat them as a dry snack without going for the gravy.
STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF AIR FRYER OATS MANCHURIAN RECIPE
MAKING OF MANCHURIAN BALLS
Take a bowl and add oats, vegetables, rice flour or cornflour, onion, ginger, garlic, green chilies, black pepper powder, oil and salt. If you are making Manchurian balls by deep frying, then no need to add oil. Give them a good mix.
Rest for 10 minutes. Shape them into balls. Put the balls in Air Fryer basket and Air Fry @180°C for 15 minutes. Alternatively you can deep fry them or use appe pan for the same purpose. Take the balls out and keep aside.
MAKING OF MANCHURIAN GRAVY
Take sesame oil in a pan and add spring onion bulbs, onion, ginger, garlic and green chilies. Saute and cook until onion turns slightly brown. Add white vinegar, Red or green chilli sauce, soy sauce and tomato ketchup. Cook for a minute.
Add water, cornflour slurry, black pepper powder, salt and sugar. Let the water boil and gravy turn thick. Add Manchurian balls and mix delicately. Simmer for a minute so that balls absorbs the flavours.
Top with spring onion greens and serve hot with fried rice or noodles.

Ingredients
1 cup = 250 ml
FOR MAKING MANCHURIAN BALLS
- 1.5 cup/150 gram Rolled oats
- 3 cup chopped vegetables of your choice (we used cabbage, carrot, green beans, capsicum and spring onion)
- 1/4 cup rice flour or cornflour
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp ginger (chopped)
- 1 tsp garlic (chopped)
- 2 green chilies (chopped)
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
FOR MANCHURIAN GRAVY
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp spring onion bulbs (chopped)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp ginger (chopped)
- 1 tsp garlic (chopped)
- 2 green chilies (chopped)
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp red or green chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1/4 cup cornflour slurry (mix of 2 tbsp cornflour & 1/4 cup water)
- 1.5 to 2 cup water (depending on the quantity of gravy you want)
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
- Spring onion greens for garnish
