More so, the instant versions are not only instant, but they also give a chance to numerous new ingredients to be used. This instant rice flour dosa without curd and urad dal is a perfect snack for busy mornings, quick breakfast, light dinner, or last-minute meals.
 
Thin and crispy, this instant dosa recipe using rice flour only do not call for even baking soda or baking powder even. Rice flour and bit of rawa itself are enough to bring the much requisite crunch into it. 
 
Easy no ferment rice flour dosa recipe is not just easy in its title only but actually very easy in the real sense of the term. If you don’t have vegetables, you can skip them as well. Even don’t have sooji, all ok. Just rice flour, water, salt and bit of water are also enough to make this Crispy instant rice flour dosa without fermentation.

Instant Rice Flour Dosa (No Curd, No Urad Dal)

In a bowl take rice flour and semolina.
 
Start adding water, but slowly and keep whisking simultaneously, otherwise lumps may be formed.
 
The consistency of batter should be like a buttermilk.
 
Add carrot (grated), onion (finely chopped), cumin seeds, green chilies (chopped), black pepper powder, curry leaves, coriander leaves and salt.
 
Mix well.
 
Put a lid and rest for 15-20 minutes.
 
Uncover and mix it again because rice flour sits at the bottom.
 
Brush some oil on non stick tawa/pan. Make sure the pan should be piping hot.
 
Start pouring the batter begining from the sides.
 
Cover the entire base of the pan/tawa with a thin layer of batter.
 
Let it cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat from one side.
 
 Carefully lift the dosa from the edge.
 
Turn the upside down.
 
Cook from other side as well for a minute or two.
 
Instant Rice flour dosa is ready. Enjoy with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, peanut chutney, sambar or podi.

NOTES
 
  1. You can skip or add any vegetables of your choice.
  2. It can be made even without vegetables.
  3. As there’s no baking soda or baking powder in it, you can make the batter at night and make dosa in the morning.
  4. After adding water, do put the batter in rest because rice flour and semolina, both absorb water.
  5. Always mix the batter before pouring on tawa because rice flour sits at the bottom very quickly leaving the water on the top.
  6. Only use non stick tawa or pan too cook this dosa.

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 2 tbsp semolina

  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
