Pasta is generally cooked into sauces, which are generally called by their colour, like white sauce pasta and red sauce pasta.
The base of white Sauce Pasta is made using milk whereas Red Sauce Pasta is made using tomatoes.
When it comes to pink Sauce Pasta, traditionally it is a combination of white sauce pasta and red sauce pasta.
This is beyond understanding that the combo of white and pink Sauce Pasta is named as Pink Sauce Pasta, whereas its colour is orange actually. Lol

STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF PINK SAUCE PASTA RECIPE
FOR BOILING PASTA
Take a pan and add water, salt and oil in it. The quantity of all the ingredients is given in the recipe card at the end of the post.
When the water begins to boil, add pasta in it along with beetroot.
Boil for 3-4 minutes or until pasta turns soft enough to eat. You can check so by pressing a piece of pasta.
Drain the water out of pasta.
Take the beetroot out and add to the blender when completely cool. Make a paste out of it and keep aside.
FOR COOKING PASTA
Take a pan and add butter in it. When the butter melts and garlic. Sautee the garlic on medium heat for a minute or two. We need not to brown the garlic.
There after add whole wheat flour. Sautee for 2 – 3 minutes or until the wheat flour leaves it rawness. Again the flour should not turn brown.
Add milk and mix well so that lumps of flour shouldn’t be created.
Also add salt, black pepper powder and oregano. Mix.
Add beetroot paste, little at a time and keep mixing. Add the paste as much as pink you want your pasta to be.
Boil till milk thickens slightly.
Then add boiled pasta and cook till pasta turns thick enough to eat.
Serve hot after garnishing with more oregano and red chilli flakes.
NOTES
- You can use any type of pasta in this recipe.
- If you like, you can add cheese as well.

Ingredients
FOR BOILING
- 2 cup pasta
- 1/2 small beetroot (peeled)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp oil
- Water as required
FOR COOKING PASTA
- Boiled pasta
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp garlic (chopped)
- 1 tbsp whole wheat flour
- 2 cup full fat milk
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of red chilli flakes for serving
Instructions
FOR BOILING PASTA
- Take a pan and add water, salt and oil in it.
- When the water begins to boil, add pasta in it along with beetroot.
- Boil for 34 minutes or until pasta terns soft enough to eat.
- You can check so by pressing a piece of pasta.
- Drain the water out of pasta.
- Take the beetroot out and add to the blender when completely cool.
- Make a paste out of it and keep aside.

- Take a pen and add button it.
- When the butter melts and garlic to it
