Pasta pizza recipe | pizza pasta with step wise pictorial and video method.
Creamy and gooey white pasta topped over the crisp and flavourful pizza base, loaded with herbs and pleasant chew mozzarella, defines pasta pizza.
In simple terms, you can call it a fusion dish wherein pasta and pizza are combined together.
We first came across this type of pizza when our son introduced it to us online.
He was craving for pizza and for certain reasons we were not in a position to make pizza home.
While he was looking for regular pizza online, but accidentally found this version of pizza being sold online.
Like pizza, he has always been a pasta lover too and this was like a blessing to him to have both in one.
But this made him both happy and sad at the same time because it was too late to order even online as the store was already closed.
Alas ! It made him upset.
Being parents, you can’t see your kids sad and that too on meagre issues.
Next day, after collecting all the requisite ingredients, we baked this easiest pizza for him and tdaaa….he was on cloud nine….lol.
INGREDIENTS USED IN MAKING PASTA PIZZA
FOR MAKING PASTA
MACRONI : pasta is available in numerous shapes and macroni is one of them. You are not bound to use macroni only but any shaped pasta of your choice.
Furthermore, this is also at your discretion what kind of pasta to be used. Meaning thereby, raw pasta is made with variety of flours like all purpose flour, whole wheat flour and semolina. We have choosen semolina pasta. It’s your turn now.
OIL & BUTTER : Basically this is the butter which is main part of pasta cooking. But butter burns so quickly so that is why a little amount of oil is added initially.
GARLIC : Garlic works as a taste enhancer in pasta recipe.
WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR : In pasta making, flour is used to bring that needed thickness and for the purpose, it is all purpose flour, which is commonly used.
To give an healthy twist to our pasta, we have used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour. You can find a detailed post in this blog “how to make pasta with maida (all purpose flour)”.
FOR PREPARING PIZZA
PIZZA BASE : pizza base can be made at home very easily. But we have used the store bought one and this base is made of whole wheat flour.
PIZZA SAUCE : If pizza baking is a routine in your kitchen, then this must be available with you, though it is easily available in the grocery stores.
Or you can make it at home too using the simple recipe given here.
Alternatively, you can use Tomato ketchup if pizza sauce is not approachable to you.
Combine a bit of finely chopped garlic and some red chilli sauce in ketchup to turn it close to pizza sauce. At times we skip the chilli sauce too and go for ketchup plus garlic only. Isn’t it so easy?
MATTER OF CHOICE
This is such a recipe where you need not to follow the instructions so fixedly, especially when it comes to dressing your pizza.
People dress their pizza in thousand ways and your’s could be any, varying from adding veggies to non veg to olives to herbs to whatsoever.
Move anyways but do note, this is pasta pizza, so don’t dress it in such a way that other ingredients supress the taste and flavours of pasta. And at the end, you only feel like eating just a heavily dressed regular pizza.
OPTIONS TO MAKE PASTA PIZZA
This recipe has 3 ingredients only which are non-vegan i.e. Butter, milk and mozzarella.
BUTTER IN PASTA : Either you can completely skip butter or use vegan butter. As we are already using oil, so no issues if butter isn’t there.
BUTTER IN PIZZA : Again either skip butter or replace it with plant based butter.
MOZZARELLA : Mozzarella is one of the prime ingredient in pizza baking, so no question of skipping it. All you can do is to use vegan mozzarella as a substitute.

PRO TIPS
1. Don’t dry all milk from pasta but leave a bit. Otherwise while baking pizza, it will lead to dry top.
2. Bake pizza on high temperature. Our’s were 230°C. Baking pizzas on low temperature causes mozzarella to dry out completely and hence you get dull texture pizza, wherefrom, no cheese is bursting at all.
3. You can add whatever you love to, on the top of your pizza. But remember, toppings shouldn’t be such which compresses the original flavours of pasta over pizza. Your choices shouldn’t ruin the original taste of pasta.
