It’s an excellent example of how simple ingredients, when combined with creativity, can result in a dish loved by everyone, from kids to elders.

The star ingredient here is moong dal, which is not only nutritious but also adds a unique flavor and texture to the toast.

Leftover Chapatis, which no one likes to eat usually go to dustbin or is kept to feed the street animals. There’s nothing more great gesture than feeding the animals who roam the streets in search of scraps and rarely have anyone to feed them. Even if fresh chapatis are made, let’s ensure the needs of these animals are considered. However, throwing food into the dustbin is never an acceptable option.

Even before this recipe, we never used to throw the food and leftover Chapatis were reused into nachos or noodles, of which we have created the block posts as well.

In the given recipe, Chapatis offer a perfect crispy base for the moong dal paste to spread and comes out as s snack, which is not just tasty but healthy as the same time. It’s a great go with your evening tea or even as a quick, healthy breakfast option.

Also, to enjoy this delicacy, you need not to be dependent upon the leftover chapatis only and it can be created with the slice of bread as well, ensuring you never miss out on enjoying this delicious snack.

If making on a non stick tawa, this is just few drops of oil which needs to be used but in case you don’t want to use even a single drop of oil, baking is the best alternative making it a guilt-free indulgence for health-conscious individuals.

Vegan and easy to prepare, Moong Dal Toast is a dish that brings together sustainability, taste and nutrition. Whether you’re looking to make the best use of leftover chapatis or just craving a quick, wholesome snack, this recipe is your go-to solution.
