    Instructions

    MAKING OF PASTE

    • Wash and soak moong dal for 4 hours in water at room temperature. If you are short of time, soak dal in boiling hot water for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Better cover the bowl to cease the heat inside.
    • Drain the water and put dal in grinder jar alongwith green chilies, ginger and water.
    • Grind to a fine paste.

    PREPARATION OF SPREAD & TOAST

    • Take the paste out in a bowl and add carrot, onion, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
    • Give it a good mix.
    • Spread 2-3 tbsp of paste on leftover roti or bread. We did it on both.
    • Sprinkle sesame seeds.
    • Brush non stick pan with oil.
    • Place the roti or bread on tawa. Paste applied side should be faced towards the tawa.
    • Roast from both the sides till brown.
    • To bake in oven, arrange the roti or/& bread on a baking tray and sprinkle sesame seeds.
    • Bake @200°C in preheated oven on the top rack for 20-25 minutes or until brown.
    • Cut in desired pieces and enjoy with tomato ketchup or any dip of your choice.
