This is a tradition in India that after lunch or dinner people usually take a spoonful of fennel seeds.
More than the houses, such tradition is witnessed in restaurants and hotels. The reason being, fennel seeds keep our digestive system in proper action & controls acidity.
Moreover chewing fennel seeds stalls foul smelling mouth. Hence fennel seeds are either consumed as it is or it is a part of mouth freshener made with few more refreshing Ingredients.
Summers implant much of logginess, exhaustion and heat in our body.
You might have faced nose bleeding in your children during high summers & it is due to the presence of excess heat in their body.

You need to soak fennel seeds for hours together, grinding and cooking them needs lots of time.
But with the instant saunf sharbat premix, you can make variyali sharbat in no time. Also making instant saunf sharbat premix is not at all a hazardous job.
It can be made in couple of minutes without going into the cooking method.
LIFE OF INSTANT SAUNF SHARBAT PREMIX
It stays good for almost an YEAR but keep few important tips in mind to prolong its life :
1. before making premix, keeping the fennel seeds under the sun is important to dry up the moisture, if any, contained in them. moisture can reduce the life of the premix. so don’t skip this part.
2. keep the premix in a clean and airtight container & place the container at some cold and dry place.
3. While using premix, make sure you are using a dry & clean spoon.

MAKING OF SAUNF SHARBAT PREMIX
Spread saunf in some tray or plate.
Look into for the impurities, if any.
Add green cardamoms and black pepper corns in the same plate.
Spread thoroughly.
Place the plate under the sun for at least 30 minutes or under the fan for an hour.
Transfer some saunf in a blender. We will grind saunf and mishri in 3 rounds.
Add some mishri too. We have used dhage wali mishri, so crushed it a bit and removed the threads.
Grind them to a fine powder.
Sieve this powdered mixture into a big bowl.
Some part of the mixture will sit in the sieve which could not be grinded properly.
Transfer this leftover sounf again in the blender along with more saunf and mishri.
Again blend to a fine powder.
Sieve it to the same bowl.
Repeat the process as many times until you are left with least leftover saunf.
Saunf sharbat premix is ready. store it in an airtight jar.
MAKING OF VARIYALI SHARBAT RECIPE
Take a glass and add premix in it.
Add chilled water or milk in the glass.
Mix the premix with the help of a spoon.
Add ice cubes and serve chilled.
Enjoy.
NOTES
- Sugar is the option to Mishri.
- Prefer to use dhage wali mishri.
- If using dhage wali mishri, do crush it’s big chunks because that is important to remove the thread and also safe for grinder jar.

Ingredients
1 cup = 250 ml
FOR MAKING SOUNF SHARBAT PREMIX
- 1 cup saunf / fennel seeds (100 gram)
- 4 cups sugar candy/mishri (400 gram)
- 20 green cardamoms
- 1 tbsp black pepper corns
FOR VARIYALI SHARBAT RECIPE (1 glass serving)
- 2 tbsp Saunf Sharbat premix
- 1 glass cold water or milk
- 2-3 Ice Cubes
Instructions
