Eggless Coffee Pudding with agar agar with step wise pictorial and video method.

Coffee pudding typically refers to a dessert made with milk, sugar, a thickening agent like agar agar/gelatin or corn flour and coffee as one of its primary component.

INGREDIENTS USED

MILK : Prefer to use the full fat milk because low fat milk will make the pudding thin.

COFFEE : Use instant coffee powder for the recipe.

SUGAR : Regular granulated sugar is fine.

AGAR AGAR STRIPS : 1 gram agar agar strips are required for 1/4 cup of milk. As we were having 5 gram agar agar left after making Mango cheesecake.

Strips can be replaced with 1 tbsp agar agar powder and if you are non vegetarian then same amount of gelatin.

And if you don’t have all such thickening ingredients, you can add 3-4 tbsp of corn flour mixed with 1/4 cup of milk.

STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF EGGLESS COFFEE PUDDING WITH AGAR AGAR

 

Take a pan and add milk and coffee.

Mix well.

Then add sugar and agar agar strips. mix well.

Put the pan on heat. Simmer for 4-5 minutes or until agar agar dissolves.

Sieve the milk.

Pour in setting moulds. We have used silicon moulds. You can use any moulds like ramekin bowls or any small bowls. Let the milk come to room temperature.

Place in refrigerator for 60 minutes.

Demould and enjoy.

  • 1 +1/4 tsp Instant Coffee powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 5 gram agar agar strips (or 1 tbsp agar agar powder or 1 tbsp gelatin, if non vegetarian)

  • Take a pan and add milk and coffee.
  • Mix well.
  • Then add sugar and agar agar strips.
  • Mix well.
  • Put the pan on heat.
  • Simmer for 4-5 minutes or until agar agar dissolves.
  • Sieve the milk.

  • Let the milk come to room temperature.
  • Place in refrigerator for 60 minutes.
