Aate Ke Pede Recipe | Easy Homemade Atta Peda with step wise pictorial and video method.
“Peda” popularly called as “Pede” (plural) is a famous type of Indian sweet which are small in size, slightly flattened discs and round in shape. The most common ingredients of pede are khoya, milk and sugar.
Originated in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India, pede are one of the most loved sweet but those available in Mathura, called as Mathura ke pede, aren’t exactly the same in shape.
There are variety of pedas like milk powder peda, kesar peda, doodh peda, chocolate peda which are flavoured differently but one thing is common in all pedas, and that is Khoya.
But in the present recipe of homemade wheat flour peda recipe, there’s no use of khoya. It’s just whole wheat flour, sugar and milk, and yet the outcome is so rich, so royal, so delicious.
This might be difficult to imagine but the fact is that merely aata can also turn into a delicious sweet and the example is this atta peda recipe with wheat flour.
Although special festivals like Raksha Bandhan, Diwali, bhai dooj are there to enjoy sweets but this easy Indian sweet recipe with atta is the one you can make and enjoy anytime when carving for something sweet.
Step wise pictorial recipe of Aate Ke Pede Recipe | Easy Homemade Atta Peda
Take a heavy bottomed pan and add desi ghee.
Let ghee melt completely.
Add whole wheat flour.
Start stirring it continuously on low heat otherwise flour may burn.
In 8 minutes, flour will turn slightly brown, which means it is well roasted.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Take another pan and add milk, shakkar and cardamom powder.
Boil it on high heat.
Let the milk reduced to half, i.e. 2 cup.
Add roasted flour.
Mix well.
Bring the mixture out.
When the mixture turns touchable, knead it gently.
Take a small portion and roll it in your palm.
Tuck nuts in the middle of peda. Likewise make pedas put of entire dough.
Enjoy.
NOTES
Make sure atta is roasted properly otherwise you may feel the raw taste of atta in pede.

1 cup = 250 ml
- 1/4 cup - 60 ml desi ghee
- 2 cup - 300 gram whole wheat flour
- 4 cup - 1 litre milk
- 2 cup - 200 gram shakkar (or any sugar of your choice)
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- Nuts of your choice
Instructions
