Easy Milk Powder Barfi Recipe | 10-Minute Instant Barfi with step wise pictorial and video method.

Barfi needs no introduction but what really is catchy here is 10 minutes. And wait, this short time duration is not the only surprise.

Indian sweets are generally loaded with lots of desi ghee but this barfi made with milk powder needs only 2 tbsp of ghee and that’s the another surprising element.

Wait wait. Still there’s something in the box. Khoya/mawa &/or condensed milk, these are also part of many of the Indian sweets but this burfi made with powdered milk will not ask for them too.

Isn’t it so happily made mithai ?

Yes, this is one of the most easy, simple, quick and convenient mithai we have ever made. And with this, there’s no long hours in the kitchen, just few minutes and a perfect treat is ready which you can make for any special occasion like Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Bhai dooj or just to satisfy quick sweet cravings.

INGREDIENTS USED IN MAKING MILK POWDER BARFI :

MILK POWDER : Milk powder is the star ingredient of this recipe. Prefer to used full fat milk powder (also called whole milk powder). When it comes to Indian sweets, which are tend to be quite rich, creamy, soft and smooth and these features are possible only through a milk/milk powder having all the natural milk fat. The fat melts on the tongue, giving that luscious feel which is essential for classic mithai.

So if you are using skimmed/toned milk, there’s a likelihood that your barfi may turn out to be dry and crumbly.

But in case all you have only toned milk powder, you need to enhance the quantity of desi ghee to balance that required fat content.

MILK : The rule for the milk powder also applies to milk. Milk should also be full fat.

DESI GHEE: This recipe uses nominal amount of desi ghee and it proves a good taste, binding and fat to barfi.

SUGAR: As it’s a sweet so sugar is obvious. You can use bura or khandsari sugar but don’t think of jaggery because a sweet tasty dessert will come out but not taste like milk based barfi.

CARDAMOM AND NUTS : These two are such ingredients which make any sweet or indian dessert complete
