Sandwich without Bread Recipe| No bread sandwich | breadless sandwich with step wise pictorial and video method.
When the word Sandwich comes, 2 slices of bread with some filling comes to the mind.
But have you ever thought that there can be a sandwich without Bread too?
Unbelievable?
Not really. There can definitely be a sandwich without Bread and you can call it suji sandwich or semolina sandwich.
This sandwich requires no bread at all yet you can make a sandwich and it is possible only through suji.
You need very few basic ingredients and an electric toaster. That’s all.
This recipe is so instant that it can easily be make a part of breakfast or kids tiffin.
This sandwich also goes well with evening cup of tea as a yummy snack.
Although it is not something out of the way and this is same batter used in making uttapam prepared in toast shape.
Also this is not mandatory to make it in electric toaster only & you can make it in pan also, though will not get the toast shape.
Furthermore, this recipe can also be made using besan/chickpeas flour or wheat flour.
We have added Capsicum, carrots, onion and corns. You are not bound to use the same and similar veggies but can also add any of the veggies you like.
You can also add cheese into the toast.
STEP WISE PICTORIAL METHOD OF SANDWICH WITHOUT BREAD RECIPE
1. Add 1 cup suji in a bowl.
2. Also add 1/2 cup curd, salt to taste and 3/4 cup water. Mix well.
3. Put on rest for 15 minutes.
4. Add 3 tbsp onion, 2 tbsp Capsicum, 2 tbsp carrot, 2 tbsp corns, 1 tsp oregano and 1 tbsp tomato ketchup.
5. Give them a good mix.
6. Switch on the bread toaster for preheating for 5 minutes.
7. Lastly add 1 tsp baking soda into batter and again mix well.
8. Grease bread toaster with oil.
9. Pour suji batter into the toaster as required.
10. Close the lid and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until toast turns brown.
11. Open the lid and bring out the toast.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup or with any dip of your choice.

Ingredients
- 1 cup suji/semolina
- 1/2 cup curd
- 1 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1 tsp oregano
- 3 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp Capsicum (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp carrots (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp Corns (boiled)
- 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp baking soda or ENO
- Salt to taste
- 3/4 cup water
- Oil for greasing
Instructions
- Add 1 cup suji in a bowl.
- Also add 1/2 cup curd, salt to taste and 3/4 cup water. Mix well.
- Put on rest for 15 minutes.
- Add 3 tbsp onion, 2 tbsp Capsicum, 2 tbsp carrot, 2 tbsp corns, 1 tsp oregano and 1 tbsp tomato ketchup.
- Give them a good mix.
- Switch on the bread toaster for preheating for 5 minutes.
