Raw Mango and Mint cooler | Mango mint cooler recipe with step wise pictorial and video method.
A raw mango and mint cooler is a refreshing summer drink made from a blend of raw mangoes, mint leaves, some sweetener and few regular ingredients. Very close to Aam panna, this beverage is known for its tangy and slightly sweet flavor with a hint of freshness from mint.
As earlier said, this recipe is very close to Aam panna and the only difference is the way raw mangoes are used and the amount of mint.
For making aam panna, mangoes are usually roasted or boiled but for this cooler, raw mangoes are used directly.
Also in aam panna, the amount of mint is comparatively less than this cooler.
INGREDIENTS USED
MANGOES : Be noted that the type of mangoes you need to use here is raw mangoes which are really sour.
MINT : Although dry mint leaves may also work but nothing matches the fresh one. The juice they will release is definitely going to make the drink more refreshingly.
JAGGERY : Jaggery or jaggery powder, you can use anything you want. The colour of the drink will depend upon the colour of the jaggery. However you can use the sugar as well.
SALT : Salt and black salt in sweet beverages enhance their flavor by providing a contrast or balance to the sweetness.
GINGER : Ginger is often added to summer drinks for its refreshing and spicy flavor, as well as its potential health benefits such as aiding digestion and reducing nausea. It can also add a nice zing to the beverage, making it more enjoyable on hot days.
Instead of ginger, you can add a dash of dry ginger powder as well.
BLACK PEPPER CORNS : It provides a unique depth of flavor to beverages, making them more refreshing and satisfying.
ROASTED CUMIN POWDER: Roasted cumin powder is commonly added to summer drinks for its earthy and aromatic flavor. It adds a unique depth and complexity to the beverage, enhancing its overall taste experience.
To make it, you just need to roast the cumin on tawa and when it turns deep brown, grind it. That’s all.
CITRIC ACID: Citric acid not only adds a hint to tanginess to the drink but it also works as a preservative which helps the beverage to stay longer.
STORAGE
Store it in clean sterilized bottle in refrigerator for 15 to 20 days.
