Pasta recipe without boiling first with step wise pictorial and video method.
Here you find an instant recipe of pasta which is ready under 10 minutes without boiling the pasta first.
It will be highly weird if we take time to introduce what pasta is all about you. Lol.
Pasta is a snack strongly associated with Italian cuisine, but it has been adapted and adopted by many cultures around the world, each putting its own unique twist to it.
Since the time we have been making pasta, there’s a strict traditional typical way to make it.
First boil the pasta, drain and keep aside. Thereafter cook the sauce and assemble both.
This way, we loose all the starch released by the pasta, which, otherwise is very helpful in not just thickening the sauce but also helps the spices to stick to the pasta.
Besides the above mentioned benefits, you also save your time from cleaning the extra dish.
Earlier also, we have uploaded 3 pasta recipes which include white sauce pasta, red sauce pasta and pink sauce pasta.
But in all three recipes we have separately boiled the pasta. This time recreating the white sauce pasta recipe but with a difference. And the difference is visible from the title of the post, i.e. no boiling first.
And also telling you that usually all purpose flour is added to pasta recipes to make the sauce thicker. Even in our recipes also, we have added different flours like whole wheat flour and oats flour to thicken the sauce but here in the present recipe, there’s no need of adding thickening agents but that job is being done by pasta starch itself.
And furthermore, if there’s still any shortcomings, mozzarella is going to fulfill that.
But in any case, if you are not using mozzarella or not satisfied with the thickness of the sauce, feel free to use 1 tbsp of oats flour at the time when mozzarella is being added.
Oats need not to be cooked so can be added lastly but in case of all purpose or whole wheat flour, they need to be roasted first in the butter at the time of roasting the garlic.
So here we go..
STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF PASTA RECIPE WITHOUT BOILING FIRST
Take a pan and add butter and oil in it. (The quantity of all the ingredients is given in the recipe card below at the end of the post.) When butter melts, add garlic. Saute on low heat until garlic begins to turn brown.
Add pasta and saute for 30 seconds. Add milk, salt, oregano, red chilli flakes and black pepper powder. Mix well.
Let everything cook together on low to moderate heat for 5-7 minutes.
You can check by cutting a piece of pasta to know whether it is cooked or not.
If the pasta is cooked properly, add mozzarella (optional) and mix well for couple of seconds until it melts completely.
Immediately serve hot.
NOTES
The starch of pasta and mozzarella will help to thicken the sauce, so there’s no need of adding any flour for thickening.
In place of mozzarella, you can add processed cheese/cheese slice as well.
If you like, you can also saute the vegetables of your choice alongwith garlic.
If you are not adding any cheese, then to thicken the sauce, you can add 1 tbsp of oats at the stage when adding mozzarella.
