MAKING OF MELTED CHOCOLATE FOR LAVA

Place a bowl on a pan carrying boiling water. Add chocolate, butter and milk in it. Let the chocolate melt on low heat. However you can melt chocolate in microwave as well. Once melted completely, take the bowl off the heat and let it cool down completely.

MAKING OF BATTER

Add milk, oil and powdered sugar in a bowl. Mix them well.

Put a sieve on the bowl and add all purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. Sift all the ingredients into the bowl. Mix them using cut and fold method.

Now either using choco lava cake mould, ramekin bowls or disposable aluminium small cups, pour 2 tbsp or little less than half cup batter. Pour about 3-4 tbsp of melted chocolate on this batter. Cover the chocolate with more 1 tbsp of batter. Likewise prepare all the cups.

Bake in preheated oven @180°C for 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

FOR THE LAVA

  • 150 gram Dark chocolate (little less than 1 cup)
  • 1/4 cup milk (full fat)
  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup/120 gram all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup /85 grams powdered sugar
  • 2.5 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 3/4 cup milk (full fat & at room temperature)
