Cold Coco Recipe – Surati famous street style chocolate drink with step wise pictorial and video method.

Cold Coco is a popular beloved chocolate drink from the streets of Surat, Gujrat.

But this is not just a drink but a nostalgic experience of hot summer evenings and soothing sips of chilled chocolate drink.

Popular for its cold, thick and intense chocolate-y flavour, this chocolate drink is both comforting and satisfying.

Quite similar to custard texture, this drink is being loved for its cool, smooth and silky texture.

What makes Surati Cold Coco stand out is its unique preparation and presentation. Unlike regular chocolate milk or shakes, this drink is made with a smooth, custard-like consistency that’s chilled to perfection. It’s often served in plastic cups or glasses with a generous sprinkle of grated chocolate or cocoa powder on top. Sometimes, a scoop of ice cream is added to make it even more decadent. It’s the ultimate chocolate lover’s delight—cool, rich, and silky.

INGREDIENTS USED IN MAKING COLD COCO :

MILK : Baffalo’s or Cow’s, use any of the milk of your choice but prefer to use full fat because it will make the drink more rich.

COCOA POWDER: The chocolate flavour will come from cocoa powder. Prefer to use high quality cocoa powder because it gives a darker colour and mixes better.

DARK CHOCOLATE : addition of dark chocolate will boost chocolate flavour in the drunk. Besides it will make the drink creamy and thick.

In case you don’t get dark chocolate, you can use milk chocolate as well but then adjust the sugar accordingly.

SUGAR is for desired sweetness.

CORNFLOUR or CORNSTARCH helps in thickening the drink. In place of cornflour, you can add custard powder as well but in that case, the drink will get the taste of custard in addition to chocolate.
