These football-shaped cookies have the tendency to bring the excitement of the game to the table by creating the festive atmosphere.
These Football World Cup vanilla chocolate cookies bring two flavours together in one cookie, exactly like a football match brings two countries together in one field. Isn’t it such a nice symbolic connection.

Take a bowl and add butter and powdered sugar. Butter should be at room temperature.
Whisk them so well. You can use electric beater or hand whisk as well.
Butter will turn creamy.
Add all purpose flour, baking powder, vanilla essence and salt. Skip salt if butter is salted.
Mix them again.
Better to use your hand and bring everything into a dough.
Now separate dough in the ratio of 3 : 1. Meaning thereby, divide the dough in 3/4 and 1/4 part.
Add cocoa powder in 1/4 part of dough.
Mix well so that it turns out to be a homogeneous dough.
First take a tiny portion of chocolate dough and make a small smooth ball out of it.
Place this chocolate ball on a baking tray lined with greased butter paper or silicon mat.
Likewise make a tiny ball with the white/vanilla dough.
Arrange white dough balls (5-6) surrounding the chocolate ball. Better watch a video ofvthis recipe in the recipe card below for better understanding.
Then complete one more circle surrounding the first white dough balls circle but this time in alternative colour. Meaning thereby, one chocolate ball, then vanilla ball and likewise complete the circle.
Gently press the balls with hand or something having smooth base.
Now place a round cutter or some glass to cut out the edges. Make sure the cookies should include all three rounds of balls. Though the outer portion of third round of balls will be partly cut out from the outside.
Remove the extra outer dough.
Likewise make all cookies over the baking tray.
Place the tray in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Transfer this tray in preheated oven and bake @170°C for 25 – 30 minutes.
Bring the tray out and let the cookies cool down completely.

NOTES
- Total dough came to be 340 grams, so we divided it into 255 grams & 85 grams ratio.
- Cocoa powder has to be mixed in the lesser dough because to make these World Cup football cookies, there’s a more use to vanilla dough and less of chocolate.
- Store the cookies only when they turn completely cool.
- Store these cookies in Air tight container and they remain good for a week.
