Besan Stuffed Paratha recipe with step wise pictorial and video method.
Besan Stuffed Paratha is a flavorful Indian flatbread having spiced gram flour within.
The nutty taste of besan is when combined with aromatic spices and filled into a dough, makes a perfect and delightful breakfast option.
There are numerous paratha recipes in India which are very common like aloo paratha, muli paratha, Gobi paratha, paneer paratha, and palak paratha but this besan stuffed paratha is altogether different and unique, besides hare pyaz ka paratha and matar paratha
And not just a different variety of paratha but it is such a fibre and protein rich food which aiding in better digestion, improved immune system, and reduced risk of diseases.
The another benefit of this paratha is that it comes as a rescuer when you don’t have any other vegetable to stuff or don’t want lengthy process to go but feeling like earing stuffed paratha badly.
The taste of this paratha is very subtle and aromatics with all the goodness of roasted besan.
It pairs well with yogurt, pickle or chutney, offering a delicious and nutritious option for all ages.
STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF BESAN STUFFED PARATHA :
MAKING OF DOUGH
Take whole wheat flour, salt and oil in a bowl. Mix.
Add little water at the time and start assembling the flour.
Knead into a normal dough.
Cover and keep aside.
PREPARATION OF STUFFING
Dry roast besan in a pan for 5-6 minutes until aromatic.
Take out in a bowl.
Add rest of the ingredients i.e. onion, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, dry mango powder, garam masala, green chilli (finely chopped), ginger (grated), oil and coriander leaves. Mix well.
MAKING OF PARATHA
Take a handful of dough and roll it in your palm. Flatten it slightly by pressing with finger tips. Further press the round edges making them more thin than the centre. Place a tbsp of besan mixture in it.
Seal the dough properly.
Roll on a rolling board.
Cook on tawa by applying oil on both the sides.
Enjoy hot.

Ingredients
FOR DOUGH
- 2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup or as required water
- 1 tbsp oil
FOR STUFFING
- 1/2 cup besan/gram flour
- 2 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp dry mango powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
- 1 inch ginger (grated)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
- Oil for frying
