FOR DOUGH
- 2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup or as required water
- 1 tbsp oil
FOR STUFFING
- 1/2 cup besan/gram flour
- 2 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp dry mango powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
- 1 inch ginger (grated)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
- Oil for frying
MAKING OF DOUGH
Take whole wheat flour, salt and oil in a bowl. Mix.
Add little water at the time and start assembling the flour.
Knead into a normal dough.
Cover and keep aside.
MAKING OF PARATHA
Take a handful of dough and roll it in your palm.
Flatten it slightly by pressing with finger tips.
Further press the round edges making them more thin than the centre.
Place a tbsp of besan mixture in it.
Seal the dough properly.
Roll on a rolling board.
Cook on tawa by applying oil on both the sides.
Enjoy hot.
