This Garlic Mushroom Pepper Stir Fry is a vibrant, colourful and flavorful dish that brings together the earthy taste of mushrooms, colours of bell pepper, crunch of onion, and the aromatic punch of garlic.
Cooked to perfection with a touch of Chinese sauces like soy sauce, green chilli sauce, white vinegar and ketchup, it offers a delightful blend of textures and savory notes.
Quick and easy to prepare with no use of tomatoes, this stir fry makes a delicious side dish or a light main course, perfect for any meal.
This is such a recipe which involves no detailing in cooking process and gets ready in jiffy.
There are certain things you need to keep in mind while cooking this recipe:
1. Do use garlic in this recipe because the taste and aroma of garlic will take this recipe to another level.
2. Do not cut mushrooms into too thin pieces. Thin pieces loose their feel after being cooked.
3. Likewise, bell pepper and onion should also be cut in the same pattern like we cut onion for mushroom do pyaza or bhindi do pyaza. You can watch the video or pictures for easy reference.
4. Also all the veggies should be cut in equal size for uniform cooking.
5. We have used bell pepper of all three colours i.e. red, yellow and green but it is not compulsory at all. You can use even a single one.
6. Do not cook by putting a lid because if it will be overcooked, it will loose all its appeal. Its forte doesn’t lies only in it’s taste but texture as well.
STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF GARLIC MUSHROOM PEPPER FRY RECIPE
Take a wide pan or wok and add oil and garlic in it. Saute garlic till it turns brown.
Add mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, salt and black pepper powder.
Begin to saute on high heat. The whole cooking process has to be done on high heat.
Water will be seen releasing by vegetables while sauteing. Let water dry completely.
Keep sauteing until mushrooms and bell pepper turn tender.
Add white vinegar, soya sauce, tomato ketchup and green chilli sauce.
Saute for a minute.
Lastly add coriander leaves and mix.
Garlic Pepper Mushrooms stir fry is ready. Enjoy.

- 200 gram mushrooms (cut into halves)
- 1/2 cup bell peppers (cut into square pieces)
- 1 big onion (cut into square pieces)
- 1 tbsp garlic (finely chopped)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp soya sauce (gluten-free)
- 1 tsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp green chilli sauce
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
Instructions
