Note that virgin is another word for non alcoholic, when it comes to drinks.

The foundation of the Virgin Spiced Holiday Sangria is a medley of fresh, seasonal fruits, spices and fruit juices, each contributing its uniqueness.

This is such a versatile and easy to go drink because..

  • It can be made ahead of time, so no hotchpotch when the guests arrive.
  • You need not to make it per serving but make it once for the whole crowd. If put in a glass pitcher, you guests can have it on their own as per their thirst.
  • A perfect drink for kids as well.
  • It can easily be doubled or tripled.

In essence, the Virgin Spiced Holiday Sangria is more than just a drink – it’s a celebration in a glass. It encapsulates the spirit of togetherness and joy, offering a communal experience that transcends generations and cultural boundaries. Whether shared at intimate family gatherings or lively festive parties, this non-alcoholic marvel invites everyone to clink glasses and savor the magic of the season, sip by sip.

WHICH FRUITS CAN YOU PUT IN SANGRIA?

Go for any juicy fruits like orange, mango, berries, grapes, pineapple, pomegranate arils, mango, kiwi, strawberry, cranberries, plum etc. It all depends upon your choice and availability of fruits.

But when it is a festive season like Christmas, this looks incomplete without cranberries.

Fruits not only infuse the drink with natural sugars but also contribute to its visually stunning presentation.

WHICH JUICES CAN YOU PUT IN SANGRIA?

Again there’s no strict rule to it and add any juice of your choice be it of Cranberry, pomegranate, pineapple, apple, orange etc. You can tweak according to your taste.

To elevate the sensory experience, a touch of effervescence is introduced through sparkling water or ginger ale, imparting a delightful fizz that mirrors the infectious joy of the holidays. The result is a sparkling symphony of flavors that dance on the tongue, creating a refreshing and invigorating sensation.

WHICH SPICES CAN YOU PUT IN SANGRIA?

This is not at all mandatory to add spices in Sangria but if you put it, it adds a kick to the drink.

Cinnamon, cloves, star anise and green cardamoms are added to it. You can also put some ginger for extra punch.

These spices create a fragrant embrace, wrapping the fruits in a comforting hug of warmth. They not only add depth to the flavor profile but also provide a nostalgic nod to cherished holiday traditions.

HOW LONG DOES SANGRIA NEEDS TO SIT?

It is highly recommended not to serve sangria immediately after making and let it sit in refrigerator for minimum 2 hours to maximum overnight.

Fresh Sangria doesn’t taste as good as the old one because more the Sangria remains in refrigerator, more the fruits are likely to absorb the juices.

STORAGE OF VIRGIN SPICED SANGRIA

This drink can be stored in air tight container for up to 7 days in refrigerator.
