Leftover Dal Paratha Recipe | Leftover Dal Roti Recipe with step wise pictorial and video method.

Leftover Dal paratha is one such recipe which utilizes the leftover dal in the most efficient manner.

Dal is something which is made in every Indian home and is quite obvious that at times some of the dal is left after eating.

We have been making these parathas since long as this is the best way to use the entire quantity of leftover dal.

Previously also, we have made a bread using leftover dal, which was undoubtedly too good and one of the best medium to use leftover dal. But the only problem was that there was a restricted use of dal.

That recipe called for only 1 cup of dal and that too quite thick. So if you have more quantity of dal, you still need to find more ways to use.

But the present recipe is simply the best. Whatever be the quantity or consistency of dal you have in the leftover, no issues. Just go for it as a whole.

These parathas are not just a way to utilise leftover dal but a great way to make the children eat dal, who are otherwise reluctant to have it.

So go for this protein rich recipe whenever you have any of the leftover dal, be it chana dal, moong dal, green moong dal or any other.

STEP WISE PICTORIAL RECIPE OF LEFTOVER DAL PARATHA :

Take a wide and deep bowl and add dal in it. Also add onion, green chilies, dry pomegranate seeds/anardana and kasuri methi. Then add dry spices like carom seeds/ajwain, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, dry mango powder/amchur and salt.

Give them a good mix.

Now start adding whole wheat flour, but little at a time, and keep mixing.

The flour has to be added as much as that can make a normal dough.

Knead the dough for 2-4 minutes like a normal roti dough but this dough has to be more tight because later onion will also release it’s water.

Put the dough in a greased bowl, apply oil on it and rest for 10 minutes by covering.

For making paratha, punch a piece of dough and roll it like a normal paratha. You can give it any shape.

Cook on tawa from both sides by applying oil on it.

Enjoy with pickle and tea or anyways you like.
