INGREDIENTS USED

The simple combination of pomegranate juice and sugar forms the backbone of this syrup, allowing for customization based on personal preferences. Here are the details:-

POMEGRANATE: Keeping aside the store bough juices, which have preservative, this is always better to go for fresh pomegranate with deep red arils.

SUGAR : Simple white granulated sugar is the best for the recipe. Avoid using coloured sugar, like brown sugar. It may impact the colour of the Grenadine syrup, so the drinks as well.

LIME JUICE: This is optional but we have added because it not only enhances the taste of syrup but also helps in now allowing the sugar to get crystallized in refrigerator.

OTHER INGREDIENTS: Some recipes may incorporate a hint of orange blossom water or rose water to enhance complexity and brightness. However we haven’t added any of these.

STORAGE

Homemade Grenadine syrup must be stored in clean airtight glass bottle and can be kept in refrigerator for a month.
