There’s nothing like a drink which is healthy and at the same time easy to make also. This badam kesar Milkshake / almond saffron milkshake has all the ingredients of an healthy drink and very easy to make.
kesar, popularly known as saffron in english comes with plenty of health benefits which are least known to the people. Usage of saffron treats insomnia and helps in improving the memory. It is a great fighter against depression and cancer. it controls the blood pressure and works as a medicine for cough and cold.
on the other hand, almonds, the another main ingredient in the present recipe, are also occupied with numerous benefits. but do note, here we are talking about the almonds which are soaked overnight. In the present recipe we are using the overnight soaked almonds. these soaked almonds help in digestion, lowering cholesterol, , fights against cancer and diabetes and what not.
Sp without any delay, let’s prepare a recipe having all the goodness of almonds and saffron.

Ingredients
- 1 glass Milk chilled
- 6-7 Almonds
- 3-4 Kesar / saffron strands
- Sugar as per taste
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom essence or cardamom powder
- 2-3 Ice cubes
Instructions
- Take 2 tbsp of milk from 1 glass in a small bowl.
- Add kesar/saffron strands in a bowl and let it remain there soaked for 10 minutes. Keep aside.
- After 10 minutes, take a blender, add milk, almonds, saffron soaked milk, sugar and cardamom powder and blend all the ingredients just for a minute.
- serve the drink chilled by adding ice cubes.
Step wise recipe of badam kesar milkshake
1. Soak the almonds overnight & in the morning, remove their skin. Keep aside.
2. Take 2 tbsp of milk from 1 glass in a small bowl.
3. Add kesar/saffron strands in a bowl and let it remain there soaked for 10 minutes. Keep aside.
4. After 10 minutes, take a blender, add milk, saffron soaked milk, sugar and cardamom powder and blend all the ingredients just for a minute and serve the drink chilled after adding ice cubes.
NOTE
*If you don’t have the saffron / kesar, you can use yellow food colour also or can skip it at all….and your drink will be renamed to Almond Milk Shake.
*If you forgot to soak the almonds overnight, no issues. Boil the almonds in sufficient quantity of water for 2 to 3 minutes and then remove their skin. But overnight soaked almonds give the best results, not taste wise, but health wise. So always prefer to use overnight soaked almonds.
