Take a bowl and add butter and sugar in it.
Whisk it well until butter turns creamy.
Add flour gradually and keep on mixing.
Lastly add baking soda, baking powder, salt and mix well.
Now mix everything into a crumbly mixture.
Take 2-3 tablespoon of mixture and bind it into a dough ball.
Keep this ball in freezer for 30 minutes.
Arrange a baking paper on a baking tray and grease it with butter.
Spread the remaining flour mixture on butter paper.
Press the mixture with some bowl or spoon so that it gets set.
Poke some holes using a fork.
Take jam in a bowl and whisk it well so that it gets a spreadable consistency. If jam is too thick, microwave jam for 30 seconds.
Spread the jam on the set mixture.
Now take the dough ball from the freezer and grate it over the jam.
Spread almond slivers over the top.
Bake in a pre-heated oven @170°C for 25-30 minutes.
Take the tray out and let it cool down completely.
Lift the baking sheet and place on the cutting board.
Cut into bars.
Jam streusel bars are ready.
