Paan ice cream  made without using expensive ice cream machine or other tedious ingredients. No eggs, no condensed milk, no cooking, this easy paan ice cream is prepared using very basic ingredients & in just 10 minutes of time.

If you don’t believe, have a look at the list of ingredients below, and see how simple they are. We were out of gulkand & had no plans to prepare anything which calls for gulkand in bulk.

So instead of buying a big pack of it, managed 2 tbsp from a nearby paan shop along with betel leaves. Smart move…lol.

Step wise pictorial recipe

  1. In a blender, add betel leaves after tearing them. Do wash betel leaves before using. paan ice cream recipe
  2. Add gulkand, fennel seeds, cardamom pods, coconut & 1 tbsp of milk.paan ice cream recipe
  3. Blend coarsely into a paste. Keep aside.paan ice cream recipe
  4. Take a wide bowl and add whipping cream in it.paan ice cream recipe
  5. Beat with the hand blender for about 2 minutes. It will turn fluffy.paan ice cream recipe
  6. Add powdered sugar and again whip for a minute.paan ice cream recipe
  7. Add milk powder & 1/2 cup of milk. Whip again for one minute.paan ice cream recipe
  8. Add the betel leaves paste earlier made.paan ice cream recipe
  9. Also add tutti fruity. Mix.paan ice cream recipe
  10. Lastly add green food colour and mix.paan ice cream recipe
  11. Pour into an airtight container.paan ice cream recipe
  12. Wrap the top of the container with aluminium foil.paan ice cream recipe
  13. Cover the container with a lid and freeze for 8-10 hours or overnight.paan ice cream recipe

NOTE

  1. In place of fresh coconut, you can use dessicated coconut also. In such a case, you need not to add dessicated coconut while grinding betel leaves but add it anytime later.
  2. If you want to use condensed milk, then don’t add powdered sugar, milk powder & milk. Add condensed milk between 1/2 to 3/4 cup or as per your liking for sweetness at the stage when powdered sugar was added.
  3. Ice cream container is wrapped with the aluminium foil to prevent the creation of ice crystals while the ice cream is going freezing process.

  • 1 cup Whipping cream (chilled)
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp milk (chilled)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 5 betel leaves (paan k patte)
  • 2 tbsp gulkand (rose jam)
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds (sounf)
  • 1 tbsp coconut
  • 3-4 cardamom pods
  • 3 tbsp Tutti fruity
  • 5-6 drops Green food colour
