Matar ka paratha | green peas paratha | matar paratha recipe with step wise pictorial and video method.

Matar ka paratha | green peas paratha | matar paratha recipe is a unique delicacy in paratha series. We have only and always seen matar (green peas) being prepared as a vegetable or curry only but making paratha out of matar is an enthralling experience in itself.

This recipe of green peas paratha can be a wonderful treat on breakfast table and having it in the lunch box of your kids ensures good health to them for the simple reason that peas are quite nutritious and have ample of fibre and antioxidants.

Kids usually dislike eating vegetables and it’s a troublesome job to feed what is must needed for them. Adding green peas secretly to their diet though this matar paratha recipe is a great idea.

It is germane to mention here that your kids can’t find out by taste that this paratha is of matar. If your kid has strong hatred for peas, then grind the peas to fine paste instead of coarsely grinding, as we did in this recipe.

The given recipe is very helpful and different in two ways.

One, the way matar (green peas) have been used. This recipe doesn’t put you on extra labour to boil the peas first, strain them, turn them cool and then use. You just jump into cooking with raw peas only. Isn’t it much relieving?

Second, no need not to prepare separate stuffing. This too is time taking when you have to do double work. Preparation of stuffing as well kneading the dough separately. And over that, the tension of stuffing getting   oozing out while rolling paratha is always there and this is much common.

This recipe ask for all ingredients to be added together in one go in a bowl, mix, knead and cook. That’s it.

No boiling of peas, no separate preparation of stuffing & kneading dough, no obligation of preventing stuffing from seeping out. Lol.

So let’s begin with the recipe..

Paratha using green peas is a wonderful variation and a great value addition in the list of paratha recipes. I always look for new ways to incorporate veges in form of parathas as kids otherwise don’t prefer to eat these Vegetables.
