You can serve the chilli paneer along with other indo chinese dishes like a fried rice.

Crispy paneer & bell pepper sauted in spicy chilli sauce, soya sauce along with other ingredients gives a perfect kick in terms of hotness. the sauces used in making paneer chilli are somewhat similar to what you require for making noodles.

FRYING OF PANEER

Cut paneer into cubes.

Take a bowl and add rice flour, cornflour, salt, kashmiri red chilli powder and black pepper powder. Give it a good mix.

Add paneer cubes and oil.

Toss well so that the paneer cubes get coated. Rest 10 minutes.

 

Put the coated paneer cubes in a single layer in air fryer basket. You can fry paneer directly in hot oil.

Air fry @200°C for 15 to 20 minutes or until paneer gets crispy and brown. take them out.

MAKING OF TEMPERING

Add oil in a pan. When oil turns hot, add garlic and spring onion bulbs. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add onion, capsicum, chilies, spring onion greens and salt. Saute on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Do not loose the crunch of onion and capsicum.

 

Add soya sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup and red/green chilli sauce. Mix well.

 

Add fried paneer. Mix well.

Add cornflour slurry.

Mix well and cook for a minute.

Serve hot.

FOR FRYING PANEER

  • 500 gram Paneer
  • 1/2 cup rice flour ((or maida))
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Oil ((only in case of air frying))

FOR MAKING CHILLI PANEER

  • 2 green capsicum ((cut into cubes))
  • 2 onion ((cut into cubes))
  • 6-7 garlic cloves ((chopped))
  • 2 Red or green chilies ((chopped))
  • 1/4 cup spring onion bulbs
  • 1/4 cup spring onion greens ((little more for garnish))
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 2 tbsp red or green chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp cornflour ((mixed with 1/3 cup water to make a thick slurry))
  • Salt to taste
