Vegan Honey Garlic Mushrooms Recipe

Vegan Honey Garlic Mushrooms Recipe is a delicious, plant-based dish featuring tender mushrooms coated in a sweet and savory glaze.

Ingredients
  

  • 400 gram button mushrooms
  • 7-8 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce (gluten-free)
  • 4 tbsp vegan honey/date syrup
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

Instructions
 

  • Take a non stick pan and add butter in it. Let the butter melt.
  • Add garlic and saute for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add mushroom buttons and salt. Be cautious of salt as mushrooms will shrik later and soy sauce too has salt, which will be added further.
  • Saute on medium to high heat.
  • Initially mushrooms will release water. Keep cooking.
  • After some time, water will be absorbed and mushrooms will turn slightly brown.
  • Create a space in the middle of the pan by skipping the mushrooms aside and add soy sauce, black pepper powder and vegan honey/date syrup.
  • Saute for another 2-3 minutes and let the mushrooms totally get coated.
  • Vegan honey garlic mushroom is ready. Enjoy after sprinkling coriander leaves.

Notes

If you are not vegan and making it with actual honey, then do not cook honey after adding. Add honey only at the very last stage after switching off the heat because as per Ayurveda, it is not advisable to heat honey.
