Vegan Apple Wontons in Air Fryer

Vegan Apple Wontons in Air Fryer are crispy, sweet, and healthy treats, combining spiced apple filling with golden crunchy wrappers.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 apples
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • Cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tsp water)
  • 12 Wonton Wrappers (our's are homemade)
  • Oil as required

Instructions
 

  • Add thinly chopped apples, brown sugar and cinnamon powder in a pan. Mix.
  • Put a lid and let it cook for 8-10 minutes or until apples turn soft.
  • Add cornstarch slurry and mix.
  • Take the pan off the heat and let it cool down completely.
  • Now take a wonton wrapper and put some filling in the middle. Do not overfill.
  • Apply water on all the 4 corners.
  • Lift one corner and attach it with the extreme opposite corner and also seal the edges, making it look like triangle.
  • Now apply water on one corner of triangle at the base.
  • Bring both the base corner in the front and attach them together as shown. Likewise prepare the wontons with entire filling.
  • Place them in the greased air fryer basket and brush or spray oil on them.
  • Air fry @180°C for 8 minutes.
  • Apple wontons are ready. Enjoy as it is or with any sweet dip of your choice. We opted for spiced apple chutney for more intense apple flavour.
