Instant Rabri recipe with milk powder

Quick and creamy Instant Rabri recipe with milk powder – a rich, festive Indian dessert ready in minutes without condensed milk.

Ingredients
  

1 cup = 250 ml

  • 1 +1/2 cup Milk (full fat)
  • 3/4 cup milk powder (full fat)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp Nuts of your choice

Instructions
 

  • In a pan add milk.
  • Then start adding milk powder but little at a time.
  • Keep whisking and keep adding milk powder in 2-3 batches.
  • Once the milk powder is completely dissolved with the milk, put the pan on low heat.
  • Add sugar.
  • Let the milk boil and keep whisking.
  • Also keep scraping the sides of the pan whenever the malai is stuck there.
  • Milk will reduce and turn thick in 12-15 minutes of boiling.
  • Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool down completely.
  • Instant Rabri is ready. Serve chilled after garnishing with nuts of your choice. We have used almonds, pistachios and dry rose petals.
     

Notes

You can add a pinch of saffron if you want,.
