Ghee residue coconut Ladoo

Ghee residue coconut ladoo is a sweet treat made from leftover ghee solids, grated coconut, sugar, and cardamom, shaped into balls.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup desi ghee residue
  • 1 cup desiccated Coconut
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 green cardamoms

Instructions
 

  • Take desi ghee residue. As our ghee residue was kept in refrigerator, it turned very hard.
  • So put it into grinder alongwith green cardamoms.
  • Grind to a fine powder.
  • Add milk in a pan.
  • Then add sugar.
  • Let sugar dissolve completely.
  • Add ghee residue.
  • Mix it well.
  • Then add desiccated Coconut.
  • Mix well.
  • Cook while stirring continuously until milk is completely absorbed and the stuff inside starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  • Leave to cool as much as can be handled with bare hands.
  • Make out the ladoos out of it.

Notes

  1. This recipe can also be made with fresh khoya/Mawa. Just grate it.
