Easy homemade Vegan Condensed Milk recipe is a dairy-free, creamy and sweet alternative made with simple ingredients, perfect for vegan desserts and beverages.
Take oats milk and almond milk in a saucepan and put on low heat. Instead of 2 types of mentioned milks, you can opt for one single milk or any other type of plant milk.
When milk turns lukewarm, take 3-4 tbsp of milk in a bowl and add cornstarch in it.
Give it a good mix free from lumps.
Add to the saucepan.
Add sugar and salt. In place of sugar, you can use maple syrup, agave syrup or coconut sugar as well.
Let it simmer on low heat while stirring occasionally.
Milk will thicken and attain a porridge like consistency after 12-15 minutes.
Remove the pan from heat and let it cool completely.
Vegan Condensed milk is ready. If needed, you can use it immediately or otherwise put in a clean airtight container and keep in the refrigerator.
Notes
Lastly you can add vanilla essence also for nice aroma and flavor but this optional and you can skip it if you prefer neutral taste or plan to use it in recipes where you want other flavours to dominate.
