- 6 cup/1.5 liter Milk (full fat)
- 3/4 cup sugar (or as per your taste)
- 5 tbsp custard powder
- 1/4 cup nuts of your choice (we added blanched almonds, cashews and pistachios)
Add milk in a heavy bottomed pan and put on heat.
When milk turns lukewarm, take 3-4 ladles of milk and put into a bowl carrying custard powder.
Mix well leaving no lumps behind.
Add to the milk in the pan.
Also add sugar.
Now let the milk boil.
Keep simmering, keep stirring and scraping the sides.
When the milk turns thick, put a spoon in it and draw a line from the back side. If the line is clearly drawn, its a sign that milk is properly thickened.
Add nuts and mix well.
Remove from the heat and let it come to room temperature.
Transfer into the refrigerator and let it chill.
Enjoy.
