Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup peas
  • 2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Nigella seeds/kalongi
  • 1 tsp mango powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • oil for frying or ghee
  • Water as per need

Instructions
 

  • Wash peas properly and add to a grinder. Peas we are using are raw & not boiled.
  • Grind coarsely. Don't make a paste.
  • Transfer grounded peas into a bowl.
  • Add whole wheat flour, onion, green chillies, ginger, cumin seeds, carom seeds, kalongi, mango powder, garam masala, salt and oil.
  • Mix everything well with hand.
  • Slowly adding water, knead a normal dough which we knead for regular roti on daily basis.
  • Cover the dough with moist kitchen towel and put for rest for 10 minutes.
  • Taking a ball out of dough, roll it between your palms to make it properly round.
  • Roll on a flour dusted platform with the help of rolling pin.
  • Grease tawa with oil or ghee and put rolled paratha on tawa.
  • Cook paratha from both the sides by apply ghee both sides.
  • Your matar ka paratha is ready. Enjoy it with curd or a hot cup of tea.
