Ingredients

FOR TEA

  • 1 serving cup milk
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp tea leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Chai ka masala

FOR TOPPING

  • 1/2 Cup Milk full fat preferably
  • 2 pistachios
  • 2 almonds
  • 1 green cardamom

Instructions

  • Coarsely crush pistachios, almonds and green cardamom and keep aside.
  • Now begin with making a cup of tea. Take milk & add sugar, tea leaves and chai ka masala in it.
  • Let it boil and filter tea in a serving cup.
  • It's a time to prepare topping & for that, take milk in a pan and heat it. When the steam begins, off the flame. Here we don't need to boil the milk.
  • Create a froth/foam in the milk by dropping it between two utensils number of times from a height. In hindi, this process is generally called 'Fentna".
  • With the help of a spoon, collect the milk froth/foam and place & spread it on tea very gently.
  • Sprinkle crushed mixture of pistachios, almonds and green cardamom.
  • Your badam Pista Chai is ready. Enjoy hot.

Notes

  1. Make tea the way you prepare at your home. We haven't added any spices because we have added chai ka masala, an amalgamation of all needed spices in tea.
  2. You only need the froth/foam of the milk for topping. This milk is not a waste & can be used the way you want.
  3. Tea shouldn't turn cool while you prepare the froth. To prevent, better make froth just when the tea is about to be ready. Also better if you crush nuts & cardamom earlier, as we did.
