Homemade Milkmaid is a thickened sweetened milk which is used to make incredible desserts.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.25 liter Milk preferably Cow's milk
  • 1.25 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 tbsp Butter unsalted

Instructions
 

  • Take a heavy bottomed pan and boil full fat milk on high flame.
  • Once the milk has come to the boil, bring the flame to low. Keep Stirring.
  • The milk will start to thicken slowly.
  • When the milk will be semi thick, add baking soda and sugar to it.
  • Let the milk cook until it attains the milkmaid consistency and then turn off the flame.
  • Add butter to the hot milkmaid and mix well.
  • Let it cool down.
  • Your homemade milkmaid/ condensed milk is ready.
