Pineapple Raita is a mild tangy and sweet yogurt recipe.

- 1 cup Curd
- 1/2 cup Pineapple cut into cubes
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder roasted
- 1.5 tbsp Sugar
- Black salt as required
- 2 tbsp Pomegranate arils (optional) for garnishing
Whip the curd till it becomes smooth.
Add cumin seeds, sugar and salt to the curd. mix well.
Add the chopped pineapple and mix well.
Garnish with pomegranate.
serve chilled.
- Make sure the curd should not be sour otherwise it will destroy the taste of pineapple raita.
- This is a common complaint that raita gets sour, even though curd is not sour. It happens because of the presence of pineapple in curd. pineapple has a tangy taste by nature and hence it changes the nature of curd too. To come across this situation, it is suggested to add pineapple immediately before serving.
