Vegan Korean Strawberry Milk recipe

Ingredients
250
gram
Strawberries
1/4
cup
sugar
Milk of your choice
(we used coconut milk)
1/2
tsp
vanilla essence
Ice cubes
Instructions
Wash the strawberries very well. We usually wash it with water, vinegar and baking soda and thereafter rinse them through running water.
Roughly chop them.
Put in a non stick pan.
Add sugar.
Cook on low heat while stirring continuously & mashing a bit.
Cook until it turns thick, slightly like a jam.
Remove from the heat and mix vanilla essence.
Let it cool down completely. It is our strawberry compote.
For serving, put some compote in a serving glass. Better to spread some compote on the inner walls of the glass to give more aesthetic look.
Pour the chilled milk of your choice (we used
coconut milk
) till the top of glass.
Add ice cubes, if you want it to be more chilled.
Enjoy.
Notes
If you like, you can add some chopped strawberries to the milk while serving.
