Air fryer Pizza bombs from Scratch

Air fryer Pizza bombs are an interesting twist to regular pizza having a ball shape and pizza topping intact within.

Ingredients
  

FOR DOUGH

  • 1.5 Cup Whole wheat flour (or all purpose flour)
  • 1 tsp sugar of your choice (we used brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp dry yeast (we used active)
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp mix herbs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup water (lukewarm)
  • Water for kneading dough

FOR STUFFING

  • 2 tbsp Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 2-3 tbsp sweet Corns
  • 3/4 cup Mozzarella (shredded)
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce

Instructions
 

MAKING OF DOUGH

  • Take a big bowl and add 1/2 cup lukewarm water, 1 tsp sugar and mix well.
  • Then add 1 tsp yeast and mix.
  • Rest for 8-10 minutes and yeast will get activated. The water in which yeast was added became frothy and bubbly, which is a sign of yeast activation.
  • Add 2 tbsp oil, 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes, 1/2 tsp mix herbs, 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1/4 tsp salt. Mix.
  • Add 1+1/2 cup wheat flour and mix everything using hand.
  • Now start adding water, little at a time, and knead a dough.
  • Dough must be kneaded for 10 minutes for good results.
  • Put the dough in a greased bowl or box. Put a lid on it and leave the dough for fermentation for 1:30 to 2 hours at some warm place in the kitchen.

PREPARATION OF STUFFING

  • Add 2 tbsp Onion (finely chopped), 2 tbsp capsicum (finely chopped), 2-3 tbsp sweet Corns and 3/4 cup Mozzarella (shredded) in a bowl.
  • Also add 1/4 tsp red chilli flakes, 1/4 tsp oregano and salt to taste. Mix well.

PREPARATION OF PIZZA BALLS

  • Knead it for a minute.
  • Take a small ball and flatten it using your finger tips. You can also use rolling pin for the purpose.
  • Apply some pizza sauce in the middle of flattened dough.
  • Put some stuffing in the center.
  • Pick up the edges and bring together to seal the stuffing inside.
  • Roll it between your palms to give it a proper round shape.
  • Place all the stuffed balls in a greased Airfryer basket.
  • Brush them with milk.
  • Airfry @160°C/320°F for 10 minutes until balls attain the brown colour.
  • Bring them out and brush butter While they are hot.
  • Air fryer pizza balls are ready. Enjoy with the dip of your choice.

Notes

  1. Pizza bombs can be baked in oven as well @180 degree C for 20 minutes or until attain brown top.
  2. You can use the stuffing of your choice.
